This incredible cell renewing treatment creates a subtle “peeling” effect using a potent combination of natural papaya enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids which eliminate the dead cells that accumulate on the skin's surface and in the pores, leaving it smooth, light reflective and glowing. More sensitive skin types might want to consider milder peels like our very gentle Tropical Enzyme Smoothing Peel. REVEAL is more of a professional strength peel with professional results. To avoid over-peeling, make sure the REVEAL Cranberry Peel is done on non-exfoliant nights. That means you should not use any other exfoliating products that night, including scrubs, acids or retinoids on the same night you do this peel.
One important thing to remember when doing this peel at home is to closely follow the directions for an amazing home peel and a facial treatment that yields smoother, brighter skin:
Make sure to start with freshly cleansed and toned skin.
Apply the peel in a thin layer over the face using a mask brush or large cotton swab. Avoid the eye area, lips and nostrils. Tingling or a slight stinging sensation may occur and is normal.
Leave on no more that 5-10 minutes depending on your sensitivity level. Rinse off thoroughly with sponges or a soft wash cloth using cool water.
Make sure you have completely removed the peel. To insure complete removal, following the peel use your milky cleanser. If there is still tingling when done with the cleanser you may repeat the cleansing process until the skin feels comfortable. You can even leave the cleanser on your skin for a few minutes before removing it.
Spritz the face with hydrating toner, then spray your toner so it saturates a cotton pad and gently swipe over your face to normalize the pH of your skin.
Apply a hydrating specialty serum such as STEM STIM or Hydraessence to facilitate repair and soothe and increase moisture levels.
You can also apply a soothing masque that will help calm and restore the barrier function. Choose Azulene Soothing Masque for combination or oily sensitive skin or Good Nite sleeping masque if you're particularly dry or mature skin. If you choose Azulene Soothing Masque remove it after ten minutes, tone again and finish with a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type. If you choose Good Nite Sleeping Mask, apply it right over Stem Stim and leave it on until morning.
REVEAL the Cranberry Peel is a lovely peel that works well for most skin types. It’s primary goal is to improve skin’s radiance by replacing dull, tired looking skin with a fresh vibrant glow. It is especially effective for dehydrated skins whether it’s dry or oily. After the peel your skin will feel spa-perfect!
